A big thanks to the people at Farrar Straus Giroux (Macmillan) for my copy of This Gorgeous Game by Donna Freitas. And I've finally signed up for PaperBackSwap. Great site! Slightly addictive. But I thought you couldn't put ARCs up for trade. At least that's what the sign-off stated. I got my first book from that site, The Debutante by Kathryn Williams, and it's an ARC. Am I wrong or do they really not care about this stuff?
Seventeen-year-old Olivia Peters is over the moon when her literary idol, the celebrated novelist and much-adored local priest Mark D. Brendan, agrees to act as her personal mentor. But when Father Mark's enthusiasm for Olivia's writing develops into something more, Olivia's emotions quickly shift from wonder to confusion to despair. Exactly what game is Father Mark playing, and how on earth can Olivia get out of it? (book back blurb)
Between SAT and college applications, senior year can be stressful. Throw in a massive move, a best friend's betrayal, and poofy white dresses, and you have the makings of a Lifetime original movie. Unfortunately, for seventeen-year-old Annie McRae, this is no television special . . . It's her life.
Mere weeks before the start of what's supposed to be the best year of high school, Annie's parents inform her they're moving . . . to Beaufort, Alabama, land of deep-fryers, "debs," and worst of all, her grandmother. It's enough to send this true-blue Connecticut Yankee running for the Mason-Dixon Line. And before she can say "y'all," Annie learns she'll be trading in her cords for a debutante dress - or risk losing her ticket to college and out of the South. (book back blurb)

Looks like someone broke the rules by sending you an ARC. For shame!
Damn them! LOL! I kind of figured.
This Gorgeous Game looks great! I cannot wait to see what you think of it =]
