At the age of ten, Gwen Cooke had a strange encounter with a boy with dark, slightly tilted eyes. He came to her on the beach, whispered strange words in her ear, and then disappeared. Shortly thereafter, her family moved away from their seaside home and Gwen never saw the boy again.
Now seventeen, Gwen is returning to her childhood home. Her nana asked her to come. But Gwen knows it's time to go back for another reason: She yearns for the sea. Perhaps the sea itself is calling to her. Perhaps the memory of the boy and his haunting words are drawing her back to the place they met. Perhaps it's time for her to face her destiny. (from bn.com)

Sixteen-year-old Miranda Merchant is great at science. . .and not so great with boys. After major drama with her boyfriend and (now ex) best friend, she's happy to spend the summer on small, mysterious Selkie Island, helping her mother sort out her late grandmother's estate.
There, Miranda finds new friends and an island with a mysterious, mystical history, presenting her with facts her logical, scientific mind can't make sense of. She also meets Leo, who challenges everything she thought she knew about boys, friendship. . .and reality.
Is Leo hiding something? Or is he something that she never could have imagined? (from bn.com)

They both sound good, but I think the Seven Tears into the Sea gets my vote. :)
Seven Tears into the Sea. Definitely. : )
(I wonder if the boy is a Selkie?... or if she is... see, I'm already intrigued/trying to guess the plot)
Seven Tear into the Sea has my vote.
I have to say Sea Change. I haven't read the other novel.
*jumps up and down* SEVEN TEARS was amazing :) That's my vote.
Sea Change!
Seven Tears into the Sea looks really intruging.
I haven't read either but based on cover and description I would pick Sea Change
You would think because SEA CHANGE is the only one I've heard of, and has been pretty high on my wishlist for forever I would have picked it,
But SEVEN TEARS sounds sooo amazing! It gets my vote, and just went on to my wishlist
Sea Change, for sure. It's a gorgeous book.
