Just a week before Saint Patrick's Day, ten of the hottest YA authors got together, hiked on over to Ireland, hung out in the countryside, chatted, wrote and ate a lot of soup. They didn't stay in a hotel. No. They stayed in a freakin' castle! And here I am thinking the beach house I'm renting in California is impressive. I feel thoroughly inadequate now!
But to be a fly on the wall. With Carrie Ryan (The Forest of Hands and Teeth), Ally Carter (Gallagher Girls series) and Sarah Rees Brennan (The Demon's Lexicon) among others, who wouldn't want to be part of that crowd? One day, man. One day.

Sounds cool, but I don't know if I would be doing any writing. To distracted by the company and the scenery. But as a one man/person retreat...sure it could work.
I'm with you, Raf. I'd want to see too much to shut in and write!
That's incredible! I'd have to disagree and say that I'd be the nerd who'd be writing, like, the whole time... until I opened up and got sucked into marathon-long group convos, of course.
Wow, what a brilliant group of authors. Lucky castle!
Sweet. Lucky them
I gave the Sisterhood Award btw
The only way I could stay in there and write was if it was at night and I'd done a full day of stuff or if it wasn't my first time visiting. Like when I go to California next year, it'll be my third time to the same place. I plan on writing in my beach-filled places.
Thank you, Amelia!
