A Thank You

Deirdra over at A Storybook World stopped by my blog at the end of August to let me know that she liked my blog and wanted to give me a little something for my efforts (since Ban This! took up all of my September, I haven't had a chance to show it off until now). At her site she has blog awards that she hands out to bloggers who she thinks fit the bill. It was my lucky day because she's given me the Best Book Blog Award! It's not one of those herpes chain awards that get passed around (although I am appreciative when I do get those). It's just a hint of recognition from someone that wanted to pay it forward. So thank you, Deirdra! Be sure to check out her blog. It's an informative site for writers, readers and all those who love books.

It's always nice to get an appreciative thanks for my efforts. :) I don't think we say thank you to each other enough.

Moar Awards!

Again, I swear I didn't really let them pile up. 10 days, at most! That's not a pile-up, is it?

I was awarded the Honest Scrap Award from Lea at YA Book Queen, Nicole at WORD for Teens and Miss Cindy at Simple Life and Reading! Thank you so much! And it's a little telling that I received the same award from three different blogs in a week and a half. LOL! Should I be worried?

This award is bestowed on a fellow blogger whose blog content or design is, in the giver’s opinion, brilliant. This award is about bloggers who post from their heart, who oftentimes put their heart on display as they write from the depths of their soul.

I'm supposed to list ten honest things about myself and then pass it on to seven other honest bloggers but since I just doled this one out fairly recently, I'm going to pass on the specifics. I was also given the Kreative Blogger Award from Choco at In Which a Girl Reads! A huge, huge thank you! A Pile of Awards

Literally. Well, I was one of many (many!) listed on A Flight of Minds in the free-for-all awards post they had as a means to catch up on their awards backlog. Basically what they had people do is just take whatever, if you want to take anything.

First off, thank you guys for including me on your list! But I'm going to have to pass on just grabbing awards. I feel awkward, you know? It's like, "Hmmm, yeah I think I'm a #1 Blogger and Enchanted, etc." I just feel weird. So while I'm very flattered, I'm going to have to pass on actually snagging any.

But I was specifically named in one of J. Kaye's award posts for the Uplifting Blogger Award because she loves my little scrats! LOL! Thanks so much for this, J. Kaye! I'm glad my bite scrats could bring her smiles!

Two, Two Awards - Ha Ha Ha

This awards ceremony brought to you by Count von Count, the letter L and the number 3.

In one day I got two awards. How freakin' sweet!

First up I have the Premio Dardos, awarded to me by the lovely Steph Su. I'm going to pick up a little bit on Steph's snarking on blog awards descriptions and say, ya'll got the language wrong on this one. What's being passed around now is Spanish, not Italian. If it were Italian, it would be Dardi Premiati. Easy way to tell? Italian plural will nearly always end in a vowel. The 's' is signatory of Spanish. Henceforce, I'm ending the fallacious circle.

Premio Dardos means ‘prize darts’ in Spanish (or something like it) and it is given for recognition of cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values transmitted in the form of creative and original writing.
