Every year children get to nominate their favorites for the Children's Choice Book Awards, and then vote on who gets the ultimate prize during Children's Book Week in May. Voting is going on from March 16th to May 3rd and the age groups range from kindergarten up through young adult books.
The finalists include Lauren Myracle for her book Thirteen, Meg Cabot for Airhead, Paper Towns by John Green and Jeff Kinney as author of the year for his book Diary of a Whimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules.
