If you're unfamiliar with the Cuffies, they're held every year and what it is is children's booksellers decide on the best (and not so best) books of the year. Who better to decide what sells than the sellers themselves, right? All they have to do it poke their accountants a little.
Just to give you a little highlight, I'll do a quick rundown of some of the more outstanding (not in OMG amazing!, just those that stand out as books I've heard great things about) books that made the list.
Suzanne Collins's The Hunger Games won Favorite Novel of the Year.
Isabel from Laurie Halse Anderson's Chains won the Most Riveting Character of the Year.
Dave Barry's Science Fair won an Honorable Mention for Funniest Book.
Diary of a Whimpy Kid by David Macauley won Favorite Series.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer got the not so coveted Book You Wish Everyone Would Shut Up About title.
The "For Adults, Not Children" Award went to Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott for it being a little too graphic and disturbing.
To see the entire list, just click the link at the top of the post. and the The Most Unusual Complaint and the Funniest Thing A Kid Said In Your Store are both pretty funny.
