While John Hughes captured the ultimate teen angst of the 80s, Red Dawn is the ultimate epitome of the 80s mentality. Despite the ultra uber-cheese of this awesome 80s movie, getting invaded by the Russians and the Cubans was a real concern during the Cold War. And who better to fight them off than Patrick Swayze, C. Thomas Howell and Jennifer Grey? They're the Wolverines!

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to working with you!
Red Dawn is a big cheese ball but it was fun, once you got through the heavy political posturing in the movie, if you were aware of it at all, I was a teen at the time so kicking Russian butt was a quilt free pleasure.
I loved how years later it resurfaced in non other than GTA:Vice City and one of the in game radio commercials referred to it as a "documentary" along with another film proclaiming the U.S. glorious victory over...Australia!
:D
