Book Wars (26)

Looks like Tantalize got its fat, hairy ass handed to itself by Blood and Chocolate last week. Let's stick with the beasts again this week, shall we? FIGHT!

Ruth's grandmother lives in the forest, banished there for the "evil" that the townsfolk believed she practiced. But if studying the stars, learning about nature, and dreaming of flying is evil, then Ruth is guilty of it too. Whenever Ruth took food and supplies to her grandmother, she would sit with the old woman for hours, listening and learning.

When she wasn't in the woods, Ruth was learning the trade of her father, a blacksmith, now that her brother would never return from the Crusades.

Amidst those dark days, a new man enters Ruth's life. William is a noble with a hot temper and a bad name, and he makes her shiver. But the young man is prey to his heritage, a curse placed on his family ages ago, and each male of the family has strange blood running in his veins. Now Ruth must come face-to-face with his destiny at Grandma's house. (from librarything.com)

vs.

For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf--her wolf--is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human . . . until the cold makes him shift back again.

Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever. (from librarything.com)

SCARLET MOON sounds interesting, but I loved SHIVER, so that's what my vote goes for.

I haven't read Scarlet Moon and though it looks good, could it really beat Shiver? Don't think so, my vote goes for Grace and Sam!!

I am not a big fan of paranormal romance so I have not read Shiver. I have never heard of Scarlet Moon, but it looks interesting and kinda historical. So my vote goes to Scarlet Moon.

I've read both books and I'd say both are really, really good. Hmm...I'll say Shiver.
