I didn't have any books hang me up in July but I did receive some AWESOME FANTASY presents so that piled the titles back on. At least I've been steadily reading so that should have helped with the numbers a bit.
The pile at the beginning of the year -
Imposing and nominally threatening. Thankfully the digital list was small -
DREAMING ANASTASIA by Joy Preble (free copy from BN)
THE BUTTERFLY CLUES by Kate Ellison
DROWNING INSTINCT by Ilsa J. Bick
MESMERIZE by Artist Arthur
ESCAPING TITANIC by Marybeth Lorbiecki
TITANIC by Philip Wilkinson
TIME VOYAGE by Steve Brezenoff
THE LIBERATION OF MAX MCTRUE by Kim Culbertson (from the author)
June closed it's doors with 198 books in my pile. What about July? 197. Down one! Considering what I took on this month I'd say that's a win. Still hovering too close to 200 for my liking but with the life change I have coming up I doubt I'll be adding much of anything in the next couple of months. A nice remedy for an overwhelming TBR pile.
The pile in it's currently glory -
Still incredibly imposing but I only have three titles left in my ARC review pile that provide varying ranges of embarrassment for having sat there for so long. The rest are from this year, mostly the last couple of months (a few of which are duplicates with the digital pile). Hooray!
And my current digital list (from NetGalley unless otherwise stated) -
THE POISON DIARIES by Maryrose Wood (Epic Reads deal)
DREAMING ANASTASIA by Joy Preble (free copy from BN) (my evil twin can shut the hell up about this one, I WILL READ IT)
HANGING BY A THREAD by Sophie Littlefield
HANA by Lauren Oliver (Sony Digital Library)
THE CURIOSITIES by Maggie Stiefvater, Brenna Yovanoff and Tessa Gratton (duplicate)
FOUR SECRETS by Margaret Willey (duplicate)
ASHEN WINTER by Mike Mullin
THE INFECTS by Sean Beaudoin
BEYOND by Graham McNamee
THE CROOKED LETTER by Sean Williams (Pyr on-site free download) (duplicate)
BAD GLASS by Richard E. Gropp
TWO AND TWENTY DARK TALES edited by Georgia McBride and Michelle Zink
I ended up having to drop THE RAFT by SA Bodeen because the pub archived the title before I could get to it. Doesn't come out until the 21st and I could have sworn I had time enough to download it but I must have been wrong. Went to download it last night and poof. Gone. Next on the digital list is probably BEYOND by Graham McNamee as the dates go.
