This band is probably one of the greatest creations ever to come out of the 80s. And it's pronounced "in ex es," not inks. Hey, I made the same mistake when I first stumbled on them when I was really little. Their sound is unlike anything heard on the radio, either then or now. And to say it's transcended time is an understatement.
Unfortunately Michael Hutchence, the gorgeous lead singer, died in 1997. While INXS is still around, they're only a shadow of their former selves without his magnificent presence at the helm. Had he survived, I have no doubt INXS would have maintained the type of staying power that U2 currently enjoys.
